Choosing Between Silver and Non-Silver Coin Rings

Silver—An investment you can wear.

Silver, an element which humans have treasured since the 4th millennium BC, continues to appreciate in value. Hypoallergenic and stylish, these rings also hold their value as a precious metal. Choose from antiqued or shiny. Another popular factor in silver rings is that it will not stain the wearer’s skin. Silver is very soft compared to other metals so if you are rough with your rings, there is a high probability of dents and dings on your silver unless you opt for a protective powder coating.

Non-Silver.

All of the beauty without the extra cost of precious metal. These rings are typically made out of modern coins intended for circulation. Generally I will nickel plate these rings to reduce the dark line which is likely to appear on fingers. These rings cannot be antiqued like the silver can. Other plating options are available as well. For those interested, please view the optional electroplating page.

I feel like this goes without saying but with the way the world is today, I am obliged to recommend you not wear a nickel plated ring if you are allergic to nickel!
